On behalf of our beloved cancer survivor Friend, we would like to lend our
support to the Breast Cancer Site. Your support is kindly requested. There is
nothing to buy from Oceanus Gifts. Thanks for your support.
"The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click
on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day
to an underprivileged woman.
It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating
a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
This does not cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate a mammogram in exchange for advertising."
-D.M. Soltero, Husband of Cancer Survivor.

Through this unprecedented collaboration among aquariums, zoos, science, technology,
and natural history museums, and other educational institutions that together
serve more than 140 million visitors each year, The Ocean Project aims to significantly
increase the success of ocean conservation. The Ocean Project seeks to complement
and build upon the work of existing institutions and organizations. We also
collaborate with local, regional, and national nonprofit conservation and environmental
organizations to actively involve people in conservation activities in their
communities and better connect them to the oceans.
If you work with an institution or organization that would like to become involved
with the The Ocean Project, please contact us!

Since 1984, the Monterey Bay Aquarium on California’s central coast,
has attracted more than 35 million visitors to see marine life exhibits that
focus on the habitats, plants and animals found in the region. The non-profit
aquarium has gained international acclaim for the quality of its exhibits, education
programs and conservation research, as it seeks to fulfill its mission to inspire
conservation of the oceans. Innovative displays include the first living kelp
forest at any aquarium, the largest jellyfish exhibits ever created, a multi-species
exhibit featuring open ocean animals, and a large-scale exhibit devoted to deep
sea life in the mile-deep Monterey submarine canyon. Conservation initiatives
include collaboration in the Tuna Research and Conservation Center, the world’s
leading research center into studying tunas and other pelagic fishes in the
Atlantic and Pacific basins; the Sea Otter Research and Conservation program,
which works to aid the recovery of California’s threatened sea otter population;
and Seafood Watch, which helps consumers, restaurateurs and retailers connect
seafood buying decisions to the health of ocean wildlife. The aquarium also
maintains a web site with extensive information about marine life and ocean
conservation issues. You can learn more at www.montereybayaquarium.org.
